I stepped outside to bask in the light. It was as if golden fairy dust had kissed the Earth.
The distant Santans were washed in lilac and red-gold. Native plants' remaining flowers illuminated scrubby, weathered limbs with their brilliance. It was a bit of magic, perhaps, an old artist's imagination, but I had to paint it.
Truly, my life is measured not by the number of breaths I take, but by the number of moments that take my breath away. Golden Twilight © Watercolor 9-5/8" x 13-1/4" Alla prima
